About Me

MY Intention: As an experienced attorney with 25 + years with concentration in family law and a business consultant and coach, I am seek to contribute my legal and business experience, my professional education, my skills to serve people facing issues in the judicial system – to restore their power and to move forward in their lives. As Managing Attorney for the eventual largest non profit family law center in southern California, I managed a staff of 17 including 3 staff and 9 volunteer attorneys, 3 paralegals and two clerical personnel. Managed personal caseload that averaged 50 cases monthly, made several hundred court appearances in several venues including short cause trials, Orders to Show Cause, Motions, depositions and mediation. For my pro bono work as a Mediation attorney in the Family Law Department for Los Angeles Superior Court, I received a commendation. The following responsibilities I managed were: Document production including pleadings, discovery, trial briefs, Memoranda of Points and Authorities, proposed stiupulations, judgments, discovery production. I handled two appellate cases, one of which was published in 2000. My other legal experience includes one year in litigation support for an insurance defense firm and handling the firm’s trust accounting. I have experience in entertainment law handling artist representation and dispute mediation. I represented the family whose life story on which “ The Conjurer” film was based. As for general law, I have handled landlord-tenant cases, wrongful termination cases, and an unlawful credit collection practices case. My personal and work experience also includes fiscal management, public relations, fundraising, public speaking. My business experience also includes project management eg preparation of flow charts, production schedules, crew assignments. Wrote and edited policy and procedures manuals, produce classes and workshops, development of curriculum, and development of checklists for effective delegation of tasks/duties/responsibilities.
