About DivorcePlus: Divorce Coaching That Meets You Where You Are

Divorce is hard but we can make it easier.

About Us

Divorce doesn't wait for business hours. The hard questions tend to show up at 2 a.m., after a tense phone call, or the moment the kids go to bed. That's exactly why we built DivorcePlus.

We're an online divorce coaching platform that connects you with experienced coaches, on your schedule, from wherever you are. Whether you're deciding if divorce is right for you, in the thick of the process, or rebuilding afterward, a coach is available for a virtual session around the clock. No retainers. No waiting rooms. No paying for anything you don't need.

Think of us as urgent care for divorce. When something comes up, you book a session, talk it through with someone who gets it, and move forward.

Why We Started DivorcePlus

DivorcePlus began with a conversation between two people who had seen divorce from opposite sides of the table.

Richard Perque spent nearly two decades in family law as an attorney and judge in New Orleans. Year after year, he watched good people drained by a process that was slower, more expensive, and lonelier than it needed to be. He also noticed something else: the clients who fared best weren't the ones with the most expensive lawyers. They were the ones with steady support behind the scenes.

Reagan Charleston Thomas, an attorney and entrepreneur, lived it firsthand. Her own divorce showed her how hard it is to find trustworthy guidance when you need it most, and how alone the process can make you feel, even with a lawyer on your side.

In 2022, they compared notes and landed on the same conclusion: people going through divorce deserve real support, not just legal paperwork. They built DivorcePlus to bring that support directly into people's homes at the moments that matter.

What We Do

DivorcePlus focuses on one thing and does it well: divorce coaching, available whenever you need it.

On-demand coaching sessions. Our nationwide network of divorce coaches offers virtual, one-on-one sessions 24 hours a day.

Free resources for everyone. Our Divorce 101 library, state-by-state DIY divorce forms directory, and expert articles remain open to anyone, at no cost. We won't ask for your credit card to read an article or find your state's forms. Everyone deserves the same access to good information.

A divorce coach can help you:

  • Understand the process when you're still deciding whether to divorce
  • Prepare for conversations with your lawyer so you use paid legal time wisely
  • Organize your paperwork, timeline, and priorities
  • Manage the stress, grief, and anger that come with the process
  • Handle co-parenting challenges and communication with your ex
  • Rebuild your confidence and routines after the divorce is final

Coaching is not legal advice, and our coaches aren't there to replace your attorney. They're there for everything your attorney doesn't cover, which, as anyone who's been through a divorce can tell you, is most of it.

How We're Different

Most divorce websites sell you forms or match you with a lawyer. DivorcePlus was built around a simpler idea: the thing people need most during divorce is a knowledgeable, steady person in their corner.

We're also the only coaching platform of our kind built by divorce professionals. Our founders didn't come from tech. They came from courtrooms and from lived experience, and it shows in how the platform works.

A few things we believe:

You shouldn't pay for help you don't need. Traditional retainers ask for thousands up front. With DivorcePlus you have direct access to our roster of coaches.

Support should be available when the crisis hits. Coaches offer appointments around the clock, because divorce questions don't keep office hours.

Privacy matters. Every session happens virtually, from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

Divorce is more than legal paperwork. The emotional strain, the co-parenting logistics, the sleepless nights: these deserve real support, and coaching is built for exactly that.

Who We Help

People come to DivorcePlus at every stage. Some are just starting to ask "what would divorce actually look like for me?" Some are mid-process and overwhelmed by paperwork and decisions. Some are years past the decree and need help making co-parenting work.

Lawyers appreciate what we do too. Attorneys tell us that clients who work with a divorce coach show up better prepared, more focused, and more emotionally resilient, which makes the legal work smoother and often less expensive for the client.

Wherever you are in the process, you don't have to figure this out alone.

Target with arrow.

Our Promise to You

We can't make divorce easy. Nobody can. What we can do is make sure you're never more than a few clicks away from a coach who can answer your questions, calm the chaos, and help you take the next step with confidence.

That's the promise behind everything we build at DivorcePlus.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a divorce coach?

A divorce coach is a trained professional who helps you manage the practical and emotional sides of divorce. Coaches help you get organized, prepare for meetings with your lawyer, communicate with your ex, and cope with the stress of the process. Coaching is support and guidance, not legal advice.

Is DivorcePlus a law firm?

No. DivorcePlus is an online divorce coaching platform. Our coaches do not provide legal advice or represent you in court. Many clients work with a coach alongside their attorney, using coaching to stay organized and make the most of their paid legal time.

How much does divorce coaching cost on DivorcePlus?

Every session is priced through the indivual coach, and you pay only when you book. There are no retainers, subscriptions, or hidden fees.

Are sessions really available 24/7?

Yes. Every coach operates on their own schedule which allows our network of coaches to offer virtual appointments around the clock, so you can book a session whenever you need one, including nights and weekends.

Do I need to be getting divorced to use DivorcePlus?

No. Many clients book sessions while they're still deciding whether divorce is right for them, and others use coaching to handle co-parenting and life after divorce. Coaches meet you wherever you are in the process.
