What does it cost?
Nothing. Professional accounts are free, with no subscription tier and no upgrade.
Do I need my client's permission to link to their dashboard?
Yes. Your client links you from their portal. You can't add yourself to anyone's dashboard, and neither can the coach.
Can my client see everything I write?
Assume yes. Group messages are accessible to everyone listed.
Are messages here discoverable?
Maybe. Messages, session records, and the fact of your participation may be discoverable in your client's proceeding. See the section above on privilege.
Are sessions recorded?
Not by DivorcePlus. We don't record, transcribe, or store session audio or video. We can't prevent another participant from running screen capture, so set expectations at the start of any session the way you would on any video call.
Am I responsible for the coach's advice?
No, and they aren't responsible for yours. Everyone on the platform is an independent professional. DivorcePlus doesn't employ, supervise, or vouch for any of us.
Does this create a conflict for me?
That's your call under your own rules of professional conduct. We don't run conflict checks.
Can I be a professional and a coach?
Yes, but they're different accounts with different terms, and if you're licensed you're responsible for your own board's rules about advertising, scope, and where you're allowed to practice. Coaching is not the practice of law or therapy.
How do I unlink from a client?
From your account, at any time. Your client can also unlink you from their portal.
Does my attorney privilege extend to your platform?
Maybe. This site was created to foster divorce coaching for people when they need it. Using this platform for group sessions with your client and their coach may interupt your legal privilege. Please review your local jurisdiction's rules.
Do you disclose users and professionals with accounts?
No. We don't voluntarily disclose the existence of a client's coaching relationship, and we don't record sessions. Full detail is in Section 10 of our Terms of Use and Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
